1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the services of BaltScand Oy ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Provided
BaltScand Oy provides the following services:
- Scaffolding Services: Design, installation, maintenance, and dismantling of industrial scaffolding systems
- Accounting Services: Bookkeeping, payroll, tax reporting, financial consulting, and company registration support
- Shelving & Storage Solutions: Sales, design, installation, and maintenance of industrial shelving and storage systems
3. Service Agreements
3.1 Quotations and Orders
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Orders become binding when confirmed in writing by BaltScand Oy.
3.2 Modifications
Any modifications to agreed services must be requested in writing and are subject to availability and additional charges.
3.3 Cancellations
Cancellations must be made in writing at least 48 hours before the scheduled service. Late cancellations may incur charges.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Pricing
All prices are quoted in Euros (EUR) and exclude VAT unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to adjust prices in case of significant changes in costs or market conditions.
4.2 Payment Terms
Payment terms are typically 14 days net from the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may incur interest charges in accordance with Finnish law.
4.3 Overdue Payments
We reserve the right to suspend services if payments become overdue. Interest on late payments will be charged at 8% per annum or the statutory rate, whichever is higher.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information required for services
- Ensuring site access and appropriate working conditions for scaffolding and shelving installations
- Providing timely financial documents for accounting services
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
- Maintaining confidentiality of any login credentials or access information
6. Scaffolding Services - Specific Terms
6.1 Safety and Compliance
All scaffolding work complies with Finnish safety standards and regulations. The client must ensure that the scaffolding is used only for its intended purpose and not modified without our authorization.
6.2 Site Conditions
The client must ensure that the site is suitable for scaffolding installation and that all necessary permits are obtained.
6.3 Inspection and Maintenance
Regular inspections and maintenance are the responsibility of the client during the rental period, unless otherwise agreed.
7. Accounting Services - Specific Terms
7.1 Professional Standards
Our accounting services are provided in accordance with Finnish accounting legislation and professional standards.
7.2 Client Information
Clients must provide complete and accurate financial information in a timely manner. We are not responsible for errors resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client.
7.3 Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality of all client financial information in accordance with professional accounting standards and Finnish law.
8. Shelving Services - Specific Terms
8.1 Installation
Professional installation services are available and recommended. Self-installation is at the client's own risk.
8.2 Load Capacity
Clients must adhere to specified load capacities and usage guidelines. We are not liable for damage resulting from overloading or misuse.
8.3 Warranty
Products come with manufacturer warranties. Installation work is warranted for 12 months against defects in workmanship.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of BaltScand Oy and protected by Finnish and international copyright laws.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law:
- BaltScand Oy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question
- We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
This limitation does not affect liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Insurance
BaltScand Oy maintains appropriate professional liability and general liability insurance. Clients are responsible for their own insurance coverage as appropriate.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate ongoing services with 30 days' written notice. We reserve the right to terminate services immediately in case of breach of these terms or non-payment.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
